Aidan manages a team of Traffic Examiners, who conduct drivers’ hours checks, weigh vehicles, document checks etc whilst Steve manages a team of Vehicle Examiners who conduct roadworthiness checks and carry out maintenance investigations. They are teaming up to discuss all roadside examinations at our seminar.

Network Rail
Steve Moffatt is the Lead Road Vehicle Compliance Manager for Network Rail, and will be discussing the practical impact, challenges and success of managing GB Domestic Hours digitally, across one of the UKs largest fleets.
Laura Newton
CE Transport Law
Laura is an experienced qualified solicitor, who specialises in UK and European Road Transport Law. Laura has extensive experience in operator licensing and Traffic Commissioner proceedings, MOT Disciplinary proceedings, representing clients at Public Inquiries and advising on matters involving operator licence compliance, transport manager repute and regulatory action.
Mike Higgins
National Highways
Mike has worked at National Highways for over 20 years, originally in an operational role in The Traffic Officer Service before moving into road safety project delivery in 2015 with a focus on safer vehicles. Mike currently leads on work with Euro NCAP to address serious collisions involving HGVs and also research into the quantifying future impact of vehicle safety systems on the strategic road network.
