CheckedSafe Scoops top award at National Transport Awards

Supported by the Department for Transport and Transport Focus the 2019 National Transport Awards took place at the Westminster Park Plaza, London on 31st October 2019.

The 19th Annual National Transport Awards celebrated the best of national and local transport projects. As always, these projects have shown the judges the tangible results they’ve achieved, improving the experience for their transport users and ultimately adding to the successful development of the nation’s transport infrastructure.

The National Transport awards ceremony on was hosted by the stand-up comedian, host and comedy writer Jo Caulfield, with the Minster of State for Transport Chris Heaton-Harris delivering the keynote address to an audience of more than 600 transport professionals.

Transport Supplier of the Year Award

The category is open to suppliers of equipment and services to the rail, light rail, underground, bus and roads sectors. Entrants need to demonstrate the transport benefits accrued from the use of their products and services e.g. decreased crime levels, increased efficiencies, better integration, improved reliability etc.

On awarding CheckedSafe the Judges commented:

“CheckedSafe has been chosen as the Transport Supplier of the Year for app it has created to carry out the mandatory and legally required daily walk round checks. We are impressed at how the app is delivering real efficiencies in more ways than one.”
