CheckedSafe Joins Parliamentary Advisory Council For Transport Safety

CheckedSafe are pleased to announce that is has become a member of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS).

Whilst CheckedSafe is a commercial organisation selling a commercial product it is also our aim to promote road safety and encourage operators to ensure that their vehicles are safe. It is for that reason that we have joined PACTS as a member.

PACTS is an all-party parliamentary group that advises Parliamentarians and government, drawing on the expertise and knowledge of its members and member organisations to identify research-based solutions to all areas of transport safety.

The Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) is a registered charity that supports the all-Party Parliamentary Group for Transport Safety. Its objective is to protect human life through the promotion of transport safety for the public benefit. Its aim is to advise and inform members of the House of Commons and of the House of Lords on air, rail and road safety issues.

The council brings together safety professionals and legislators to identify research-based solutions to transport safety problems having regard to cost, effectiveness, achievability and acceptability.

Darran Harris, Solicitor and Director at CheckedSafe intends to assist PACTS in its aim of promoting road safety and by contributing to discussions on key road safety matters with the aim of helping to shape future initiatives that will impact Britain’s roads.

Darran added:

“I am especially interested in the Road Safety Working party. I am interested in all aspects of Road Safety and I feel sure that I have something to add.”
