DTHughes in 2018 slipped into OCRS Red due to failings on compliance it was decided by Stuart Ellison the Chief Engineer the only way forward was to have in place an electronic system.

Stuart knew Gary Hawthorne for a number of years from his days as owner/operator prior to setting up Checkedsafe.

The solution

Checkedsafe was rolled out across the Grabs/Tippers and Tarmac wagon for daily pre-use and full PMI fleet maintenance all completed via the CheckedSafe App. Stuart had full input into the PMI set up tailoring the templates to suit how he worked. The system was very simple to use, recording in real time and providing comprehensive reports to the management team at DTH. For Stuart it was a godsend the system is 100% compliant I cannot go wrong. It provides me with the confidence as the data is secure, I have a job list, full schedules (and it auto reschedules in line with my O license). Jump to 2021, DTH have moved back into OCRS Green – fantastic achievement – Stuart firmly believes that the use of CheckedSafe has brought full control of compliance to a new level and by the fact the company has gone from Red to Green in 3 years is fantastic.
