BATA began our partnership with CheckedSafe back in 2017 when we started using the App and back-office system to manage all our transport operational, maintenance and compliance requirements. So, it was the logical step to use their driver licence checking service when it became available earlier in January 2023.

The licence checking tool is simple to use. Getting driver permission to have their licence checked is quickly and easily done by way of a check on the app. There’s no paper involved and once the driver is on the system the checks are automatically done at either preset or self-determined intervals. There is no requirement for me to keep asking drivers to provide an access code from the DVLA each time a check is required.

The licence check dashboard is easy to use. I can see at a glance which drivers are high risk or that have any active endorsements etc, and any new “events” are immediately visible. Driver CPC checking is also included for commercial vehicle drivers. It is also simple to remove any drivers from the system should they leave.

We are a multi-site business and as this is a web-based system, I can manage the licences from all sites remotely.
Lastly, the checks are very cost effective. Since we changed from our previous licence checking partner to CheckedSafe we now get 3 checks done for what was the price of 1!
