Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) serves 16,000 qualified professionals in over 40 countries worldwide. Their members inspect, maintain, and manage the machinery and equipment which keeps society functioning; it could be an escalator in a shopping centre, a modern biomass plant generating renewable energy for homes, or the HGV and bus fleets which keep economies and people moving. The safe and sustainable operation of all these essential functions fall under the remit of professional operations engineers.
Innovation of the Year (Non-Contractor) – Finalist
We are pleased to announce that CheckedSafe has been selected as a finalist in the Innovation of the Year (Non-Contractor) category of the 2020 Construction News Specialists Awards.
Now in their 16th year, the Specialists Awards are the only national awards recognising the outstanding achievements of specialist contractors, and that the maximum integrity face-to-face judging process highlights the very best inspirational businesses and projects.
Transport Supplier of the Year 2019
The category was open to suppliers of equipment and services to the rail, light rail, underground, bus and roads sectors. Entrants need to demonstrate the transport benefits accrued from the use of their products and services e.g. decreased crime levels, increased efficiencies, better integration, improved reliability etc.
On awarding CheckedSafe the Judges commented:
“CheckedSafe has been chosen as the Transport Supplier of the Year for app it has created to carry out the mandatory and legally required daily walk round checks. We are impressed at how the app is delivering real efficiencies in more ways than one.”
CIHT / DfT Technology Award – Commended
The CIHT Awards are a celebration of the highways and transportation industry. They are an opportunity to reward the remarkable achievements of those working in the highways and transport sector.
CheckedSafe were commended in the Technology Award which was sponsored by The Department of Transport and the judges commented that “CheckedSafe demonstrates that technology does not have to be necessarily new, but should be about solving problems and developed with a real focus on user needs. Getting approval from key agencies for the system demonstrated a clear holistic approach to implementation.”
