New From Checkedsafe
With the modern digital way of working it is often the case that employees are left alone to their own devices. Employees are trusted to get on with their work using all of the tools their employer provides at their disposal. Lots of employees work from home or visit customers in remote places often without anyone really knowing where they are at any given point in time. This is seen as an advancement of working practices and introduces flexibility for the modern workforce.
But is there a risk in leaving employees to their own devices and can you say that you always know that your employees are safe. Can you say at all times that if something was to go wrong you would know where your employee is and that you could do something about it.
All employers have a duty to look after their workforce. Most do. The question is how can that be managed effectively for Loneworkers? Workers who are trusted to get on with their job usually fall under the radar of their employer because they can be trusted. So how do you make sure they are safe and looked after?
The easy answer is by using the tools they already have coupled with an easy to use App. Most employees have mobile phones or tablets so why not utilise them to ensure that your employees are safe. We can help you do that with our innovative and simple to use Loneworker App.
We at CheckedSafe have created a simple to use Loneworker App that can be administered internally, is inexpensive and easy to monitor. Employees don’t feel like they are being watched by big brother because the judgment as to when to use the Loneworker App rests with them. If they feel safe and there is no risk to them they don’t use it and conversely if they feel vulnerable they run the Loneworker App so that they know someone is monitoring them and can assist in the event they need help. As the Americans say they know you have their back!
The App uses GPS technology to log where workers are and email escalation notifications to inform managers of the whereabouts of their staff. It also has an SOS button in case employees need immediate assistance. There is a full dashboard facility to monitor all Loneworkers and record incidents as required (for RIDDOR and other purposes).
